Where in the World are the National Beef Ambassadors Now?

85,000 people attended the Expo on January 12 - 13, getting free medical screenings, fun, healthy activities like rock climbing and tennis as well as diet and exercise information.  Consumers were treated to beef’s nutritional benefits and beef and veal recipes.  Two ambassadors and a Pennsylvania producer answered questions, gave away steak rub and signed consumers up to win copies of the Healthy Beef Cookbook.  The Steak Rub was given out for answering beef trivia questions.  A booth packed full of recipes and nutrition information left consumers armed with beef’s 29 lean cuts and all the health benefits beef has to offer as well as great tasting, healthy beef dishes to cook for their families.  The beef ambassadors made an impromptu presentation on the cooking stage telling the audience about the 29 lean cuts of beef, nutrition and food safety.  They also invited PA beef producer, Dennis Byrne to come on the stage and talk about his productions practices on his cow/calf, feedlot and crop farm. www.nbc4.com/healthandfitnessexpo
