Where in the World are the National Beef Ambassadors Now?

2008 Pennsylvania Farm Show
Harrisburg, PA

The Pennsylvania Farm Show held January 6 – 12 is the largest indoor agricultural event in America. The Farm Show Complex houses 25 acres under roof, spread throughout 8 buildings and 3 arenas. Traditionally families come from all over the northeast and around the world to visit the Farm Show as a family vacation.  Jenny Rassler, National Beef Ambassador from PA, presented Governor Edward G. Rendell with a framed beef print at the International Farm Show Dinner.  More than 1,000 guests attended this year’s dinner.  She also participated in the Farm Show opening ceremony with other commodity representatives.  At the Beef & Veal Learning Center, presented by the PA Beef Council and Penn State Capital Regional Animal Science Team, Jenny helped lead “Beef Trivia” and “Veal or No Veal ,” games to engage center visitors.  Visitors that answered a beef or veal question won beef jerky, a hamburger eraser or beef pencil.  While Jenny staffed the center, Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor Catherine Baker Knoll played trivia and also asked Jenny questions about the Hereford cow/calf that was on display with the center. www.agriculture.state.pa.us/farmshow
